RII40920 Certificate IV in Drilling Operations

This qualification reflects the role Supervisors and is aimed at people who work in supervisory roles in the drilling industry.

Students will develop their knowledge and skills completing tasks that involve a broad range of varied activities most of which are complex and non-routine in nature. They will be responsible for the quantity and quality of the output of others and contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems. They will learn how to lead drill crews, maintain a safe work environment, maintain environmental best practice, plan and supervise the mobilisation of crews, lead and develop individuals and teams, manage equipment maintenance, and quality systems along with running the drilling program and site operations.

On successful completion of the course, they will gain a RII40920 Certificate IV in Drilling Operations. A Statement of Attainment will also be issued outlining the specific units of competency completed to form this qualification.

Delivery is either at the workplace or by distance learning. There is a nominal time of 24 months to complete the qualification.
