RII20920 Certificate II in Drilling Operations

This qualification reflects the role of Offsiders and is aimed at people who work in the drilling industry. Students will develop their knowledge and skills completing a set range of routine tasks and procedures. They will work under the supervision of an experienced Driller but will have some responsibility for the quality of the work they produce. They will learn WHS and environmental principles along with all aspects of drilling operations including: communication, isolation, pre-start inspections, risk assessment, loading and operating vehicles and setting up/packing up site and dealing with samples.

On successful completion of the course, they will gain a RII20920 Certificate II in Drilling Operations. A Statement of Attainment will also be issued outlining the specific units of competency completed to form this qualification.

Delivery is either at the workplace or by distance learning. There is a nominal time of 12 months to complete the qualification.
